Small update today in the logo and painting galleries of my website. Added the logo commissioned by Penn Skates and Team USA Roller Derby to my collection. My painting section gets a portrait of my friend’s dog…just because.
Still pondering on how to present my galleries. CSS/HTML is somewhat limiting in that regard, as I would like to provided a small artist’s comment section along with each image. Will consider options further.
Until then, I will continue to add art.
Yay, they went with my design. T-shirts can be purchased here. (Proceeds to benefit Team USA Roller Derby)
Took us awhile to arrive at a final design, but I received some great feedback. Feels like we made at least a 100 tweaks to that design… see for yourself…
My new layout is up and working. I plan to do something a little more spiffy with the galleries, but for now the content is there.
Time for sleep.
I was tired of looking at the old site so I picked up the CSS book and have been brushing up. There’s that old coding headache, I forgot what a pain Dreamweaver can be.
I’ve taken a momentary break from day to day work to design a logo for Team USA. Of course the work is entirely donation and part of a contest, but its a lot of exposure if they use my design. Plus an idea came to me, and all I had to do is just spit it out and forward it their way. We collaborated a bit, they gave me feedback and I’m hopeful it will be chosen. If not, I’m still happy for the experience. Through out the creation process I was treated with respect and courtesy–which is all I really expect, but don’t always get from even my paying clients.
Anyway…Go Team USA!
I’ll post my design after they decide on a winner, whatever the outcome.
